Smile Education and Development Foundation (SEDF)

Smile Education and Development Foundation, based in Yangon, Myanmar, is a non-profit education institute committed to producing responsible and productive citizen; developing competent, critical and dedicated change leaders and enhancing economic, cultural and social awareness of youth by providing quality education programs, youth leadership capacity building programs, health care services and interfaith study through partnership with other community, business, education and government and non-governmental organizations.

The organization was established in 2007 and gained its formal recognition from the Ministry of Education in 2008. SEDF is a local non-profit non-governmental organization based in Yangon, Myanmar. SEDF was started by Mr. Myo Win, who is a prominent member of Yangon education community through his leadership and facilitation of significant community pursuits. Currently, SEDF has over 2,000 young people from different religions and ethnic backgrounds throughout the country. SEDF is composed of four major institutes namely- Youth Education and Development Center, Interfaith Council, Smile Health Care and English Language Program.
